Real women in our lives

I have the joy and blessing to have simply amazing REAL women in my life.  My mom was at the top of that list, and I hope each day as she watches me from heaven, she is proud of me.  I think she is, because she sends me signs.  But more about that in a future entry.

The women in my life are each amazing, strong, beautiful, and most of all share an accepting, unconditional love for me and each other.  We make each other laugh, we make each other feel a bit less crazy, we give each other the support we all need.  Cheaper and by far more fun than formal therapy!

One has a smile that lights up a room.  One has a laugh that makes you laugh when you hear it. One has incredible strength and has fought and beat cancer.  One is the master of balancing family and work.  One is strong and independent.  One is an entrepreneur, with no fear of trying new business ventures.  They ALL, in their own way, are smart, creative, funny and appreciate life. And hopefully none of them will mind if I share a few stories involving them in upcoming posts!  Until then, here are a few pics of just a handful of these incredible REAL women.

I love you all — thank you for being you.

Congratulations on the new blog, this is just terrific!! I am so excited
for you as I know writing is and always will be one of your biggest
passions. This is just fantastic and WE are all so blessed to have
you in our lives. I can’t wait for the next posting.

Well that’s easy – YOU! I’ve always been in awe of all that you do – work, family, home, friends, exercise, the random stress reducing baking (which seems like an oxymoron) and now this wonderful muse – how the hell do you have time to look at those insidious magazines?

Though, of all the things “you do” dear Marj, it’s your thoughtful gestures that I am in awe of. You never seem to forget birthdays, anniversaries or any life events for that matter, you are great at sending “thinking of you” notes, and you don’t go nutty when a friend’s dog pulls the kleenex out of your pocketbook (I didn’t even check to see if it was clean … you know … for the dog’s sake).

I’m SO glad YOU started this blog, so admire that you are “outing” your jones to write and love the topic you’ve chosen.

YOU are one of those amazing and special women in my life. Thanks for starting this.

And I hope the Real Women here can celebrate that I just figured out how to make hash with my Kitchenaid stand mixer. The St. Patrick’s Day leftovers didn’t know what hit them …

  5. A beautiful idea Marjie…I’ll very much look forward to your new postings! (Have you discovered extra hours in your day, is what I would like to know!) Congrats on this awesome new adventure!

I am so happy you started this blog too and agree with every wonderful thing that could be said about you. I am mostly happy that I have something new to read every night after I put on my two different face creams, moisturizing lotion, vaseline on my feet with socks….i am drying up aren’t I?

This is incredible! I so admire your creativity – this is truly a reflection of the beautiful, special, intelligent person that you are. There are three fabulous women who inspire me everyday; one is my mom, one is the shiny copper thing that i miss so much it hurts and one is you. Thanks for allowing me to be part of your fantastic presence everyday.
